LHP Travis Wood on the DL

Just heard it on the Dragons radio broadcast, and sure enough he is on the inactive list on the Dragons roster. Didnt say what for though. Does anyone know?

Re: LHP Travis Wood on the DL

Turns out he has a sprained ankle. Nothing arm related. Very good news.

Travis is at 106 innings on the year, so when did Travis "sprain" his ankle, when Zack Ward stormed past him out of Dayton

Re: LHP Travis Wood on the DL

yea to be honest i'm actually somewhat not dissapointed for this injury (not that i ever wish injury on a guy) since its not arm related. It limits the innings hes gonna get this season, I want to see him pitch less than 150 hes still a young arm

Haha, no, apparently it happened in his last start. Zach was apparently also on the Dragons team bus when he found out he was traded. Maybe Travis missing a few starts is a good thing for his arm though. Thats a lot of innings for this point in the season.

Are the Red trying to ruin Travis Wood? It has been obvious for sometime that he has been spent. He doesn't have anything left. Alot of HSer's only pitch 70-90 innings their first season, why haven't the Reds shut him down yet? Another organizational flop.

You should really consider putting your "Jump to Conclusions" mat away.

Otherwise, I agree. He needs to be shut down. There's no reason for him to throw 120 innings when he's at least 3 years away from the major leagues.
