If it turns out to be him, congrats to the police for never giving up on this case.

Too bad her mom didn't live to see the scum brought to trial.

Ramsey Murder: ARREST

One of the players in the clubhouse just saw this on the news.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, U.S. officials said Wednesday.

Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the man was already being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

The girl was found beaten and strangled in the basement of the family's home in Boulder, Colo., on Dec. 26, 1996.

Law enforcement officials from Boulder were flying to Bangkok to present Thai authorities with documents in the slaying of the 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant, officials in Washington said. They asked to remain anonymous pending an announcement in Colorado.

The girl's parents, Patsy and John Ramsey, had been under an "umbrella of suspicion" in JonBenet's death. The Ramseys said an intruder killed their daughter. A grand jury investigation in Boulder ended with no indictments, and no arrests had been made in the case.

Patsy Ramsey died in July.

In 2003, U.S. District Judge Julie Carnes in Atlanta concluded that the evidence she reviewed suggested an intruder killed JonBenet. That opinion came with the judge's decision to dismiss a libel and slander lawsuit against the Ramseys by a freelance journalist, who the Ramseys had named as a suspect in their daughter's murder. The Boulder district attorney at the time said she agreed with Carnes' declaration.

Has O.J. found the real killer too?

Being serious for a second. The police and other officials apparently did a poor job at the start. It seems they were in over their heads and they should of called in for help a lot sooner.

Wow, if they found a killer and it had nothing to do with the Remsey's, that would be unbelievable.

If it turns out like that, what a tremendous injustice to the family being accused all those years.

This will be tough on John Ramsey, but yet if this man is guilty it will also be a great day for him. It's going to bring a lot of tough memories for him.

They always had the killer's DNA, but unfortunately never had a sample from which to match it with. With this suspect, it sounds like they must have already done their due dilligence in this arena prior to allowing this leak to happen.

Congrats to the authorities for never allowing this case to go cold. May God bless the poor tortured sole of Patsy Ramsey.

It's actually been the consensus by most law officials for the last few years that none of the Ramseys were involved in her murder. Basically, the grand jury was never unable to indict the family because they could not find a match for the DNA that was left by the killer.

I always believe that the Mom had something to do with it.

She's cute and blond, so FOX news will definitely be covering this story tonight.

This thread isn’t about any news organizations, or any perceived biases they may have, if you want to discuss that type of thing please take it to the peanut gallery.

Back on topic; they did say Patsy Ramsey was told, before she died, they were closing in on an arrest. At least she knew that before she passed.

Having a bias towards pretty blondes is neither political nor religious.

I did not violate any board rules, so do not call me out on here.

If you are going to single me out for not being on topic, then you owe each of us an admonishment.

You mods are great. If we have problems you want us to to take it private, if you have problems you issue a proclamation.
