Not afraid of the Cards.In the past two days they have scored
4 runs and have left a ton of base runners.

They are a Doomed team.

No team with one of the true remaining aces in the NL on their roster (Carpenter) is doomed. That kind of talk is ill-used.

Did I say that's all it takes?

Why would you characterize a team as doomed when said team has both the 2006 NL Cy Young winner and MVP (okay, MAYBE Beltran can wrench this away from Pujols, but I don't know)? It's silly. They are not "doomed" at all--they are the odds on favorite to win the NL Central.
