Here's another interesting statistic. Even after the six game losing streak, the Reds are tied with Atlanta with the fourth best road record in the NL. The Mets, Phils, Padres are better. Only the Mets are much better (thirteen over .500 on the road). Reds are 33-34 on the road.
There are, however, nine teams in the NL with better home records than the Reds. In the NL Central, only the Cubs have a worse home record. There seems to have been a "correction" on the road with the recent losing streak. Maybe the Reds will get hot at home, another "correction," which would help a lot. But to be better next year, team brass needs to figure out how to restructure to win at home. Is it just luck, or is it because Reds need certain kinds of pitchers who can succeed at GABP?
