I'd say keeping McCracken over Ross when we needed to make room on the roster isn't looking so good.

Re: Reds helping the Fish ....

Ross has a juicy line ---- .208/.283/.377/.660

That's good enough to be the Redszone Pinata for quite some time.

I'd take 8 dingers and great D off the bench over what the Reds have gotten from McCracken, Hollandsworth, and every other member of the Reds' bench rogue's gallery.

He's having Reggie Taylor's 2003 season, and whenever he has a hit there's a post about him, if he was on the Reds he'd be dog meat.

That's how I see it.

Reggie Taylor's 2003 was pretty good for a bench player. Just because others wouldn't appreciate him, doesn't mean he hasn't been better than Hopper, Denorfia, Hollandsworth, McCracken, Wise, Castro.

Yeah, Darrin Lewis 1995 good, I'll Take Jerome Walton's 1995 instead.

Code:
RUNS CREATED/GAME YEAR RC/G AB
1 Herm Winningham 1991 2.53 169
2 Bob Usher 1946 2.61 152
3 Darren Lewis 1995 2.66 163
4 Wally Westlake 1952 2.72 183
5 Clyde Vollmer 1947 2.79 155
6 Harry Bay 1901 2.84 157

I was thinking of Taylor's 2002 season. Still, each player in his own place. Everyone liked to pick on Reggie, but guys like him have their uses. There's not a player on the Reds' bench worth a damn, excepting Valentin.

It's a 25th man, true. But every move counts.

*I thought Walton 1995 was a true platoon, not a 25th man.

Small sample. Don't really have a true opinion either way.

So I guess all the bench guys (besides Javi) aren't crap then are they?
