Cubs Pierre CF Theriot 2B Ramirez 3B Murton LF Pagan RF Mabry 1B Blanco C Cedeno SS Zambrano P Reds Wise CF Hatte 1B EE 3B Dunn LF Valentin C Holly RF Phillips SS Olmedo 2B Lohse P Murton in LF batting 4th for CHI. See - Power guys in the OF are easy to find! Lets trade Dunn. (This sarcastic remark comes from listening to WLW announcer just say, and this is not a direct quote, "Trade Dunn. Even for less value. Productive OF is easy to fill." Tell it to the Cubs. Better be overwhelmed IMO.  )

We have a weather window....however, the field is a wreck right now.
It looks like they will play, but the game will probably not start on time. The grounds crew better get working

No Denorfia? He has to either be hurt or essentially gone (trade already agreed to) because this is ridiculous. We play Wise and Holly over him... What does management know about him that we don't?

Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance. |
