Kearns breaks Nick Johnson's leg
In case you missed it, there was a bad collission in New York last night between Austin Kearn's and Nats 1st baseman Nick Johnson. They both chased after a pop-up, and ended up colliding in shallow right-field.
Kearns is apparently alright, but Nick Johnson has a broken leg and is done for the year. See THIS STORY for details and a video link. Ouch....

Re: Kearns breaks Nick Johnson's leg
Good thing we traded Kearns.
No telling how many legs he would have broken here. Say what you want about Clayton, he hasn't broken any legs yet. The worst you can say about him is that he has made us all sick. |

I bet the Steelers try and sign Kearns in the offseason.

Former Reds outfielders do not have much luck with collisions (see: Cameron, Mike).

Re: Kearns breaks Nick Johnson's leg
If you had told me that Kearns and another player were involved in a collision where one of the two ended up breaking his leg, I'd have bet the ranch on Kearns getting injured. Too bad for Johnson but how about Kearns going through almost a full year withot an injury?

Re: Kearns breaks Nick Johnson's leg
The title of the thread is misleading. Kearns did not break Nick Johnson's leg. Nick Johnson broke his own leg. That was Kearns play all the way, Johnson should of been looking out for Kearns. He didn't.

Re: Kearns breaks Nick Johnson's leg
Am I the only one who envisioned Kearns with Nick Johnson down on the field in a figure-four leglock? Not to joke, I hope Johnson is okay.

What kind of Mirror Universe is it when Kearns gets in a collision and isn't the one hurt?
