Gary Sheffield in RF in '07??

with a crowded OF in New York the Yankees may be looking to dump one and Sheffield would be the one to go because he has a club option for '07 and Cashman will most likely not pick it up..

and with that said we need to get rid of the cancer in LF...

Orioles Get:
Adam Dunn

Reds Get:
Adam Loewen
cash

Rotation:
1. Jason Schmidt (via free agency)
2. Aaron Harang
3. Bronson Arroyo
4. Adam Loewen (via trade see above)
5. Kyle Lohse/Eric Milton/Homer Bailey/Elizardo Ramirez

Bullpen:
Kerry Wood CL (via free agency)
David Weathers
Todd Coffey
Bill Bray
Scott Shoeneweis
Gary Majewski
Matt Belisle/Jason Standridge

Lineup:
1. Luis Castillo 2B (via free agency)
2. Brandon Phillips SS
3. Ken Griffey Jr. CF
4. Gary Sheffield RF (via free agency)
5. Edwin Encarnacion 3B
6. Scott Hatteberg/Joey Votto 1B
7. Preston Wilson LF (via free agency)**
8. David Ross C
9. P
**Alfonso Soriano or Carlos Lee would be nice but not enough money

Bench:
Javier Valentin C
Ryan Freel UTIL
Norris Hopper OF
Todd Hollandsworth OF
Juan Castro IF

if that happens up there ^^^ hello PLAYOFFS!

Switch Castro for Aurilla and you got a decent lineup.Aurilla will not be back and Wayne signed Castro to a 2 year deal. But over all your lineup and pitching satff look solid.

yeah he is... he makes stupid comments in interviews, its obvious he doesnt give 100% everyday, he strikes out way too much, and his defense is well we all know about his defense.

Wait, Adam Dunn is a cancer, and Gary Sheffield is what?

He doesn't strike out as much so he's alright. Cancers are guys that strike out alot and play below-average defense.

Ohhh I thought it was a guy that admitted to tanking games and messing up on purpose in an effort to get traded. My fault

I don't like a lot of this but I will say that I would love to see Loewen pitching for the Reds. for the love of God, stay away from Kerry Wood, even in the bullpen.

What? Wow, this is a new low on the RedsZone. Frankly, IMO, I think Adam needs the offseason to get his head clear. It's been a season fraught with all sorts of things going on. I appreciate Sheffield's talent, but I don't believe he fits our needs (just my opinion). I'll still take Dunn anyday. Not a cancer at all.

Re: Gary Sheffield in RF in '07??

what can it hurt to get wood as a closer.. no one else has worked.. with his stuff he would be unhittable and the amount of innings would give his arm a rest
