Great fun for artists/advertisers/generally curious people
This is a blog which is great fun if you have a few minutes:
http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/ My mother is a painter, as a grandmother, and I had the terrific luck to inherit absolutely none of their talent in this arena. I have vivid memories of being dragged to art museums as a child and having my mother go all funny over paintings, trying to get me to see what she did: "Look honey! Do you see all the purple and yellow and green in the sky?" and I was all, "Mom, it's a goddurn blue sky, can we go to the gift shop now?" I think the stuff in this blog is kind of what she was talking about. Sort of.
