Chris Shelton

I read over on ORG that Shelton might be avaliable, would Cormier, LaRue & 2-3 million get it done?

Re: Chris Shelton

Detroit has Pudge and Vance Wilson (signed through 2008), and as such would have no use for LaRue.

Re: Chris Shelton

I remember reading somewhere that they are actually looking for a backup catcher (but preferably a LH hitter). I think Pudge's age (35 I think) has something to do with it. Granted Larue is 32 himself and he isn't a LH, he still has some tools that some teams covet. I think Larue and 2-3 mill for Shelton might just be a good offer for Shelton.

Re: Chris Shelton

Losing Larue's contract is a must. But to do this deal is horrible. I personally pass on that offer any day of the year.

Re: Chris Shelton

Shelton reminded me of Nick Esasky. Not sure if their stats are comparable.

Re: Chris Shelton

I think if they are going to get rid of Shelton, it will be a near giveaway.

Do you mean move Shelton to right or something?
