Re: Grammy Nominations are out

Lamb of God deserves best metal performance of those nominated, however i don't think "Redneck" is a strong enough track to beat out Stone Sour or Mastodon. i'm amazed that Shadows Fall wasn't nominated for anything.

When the *****cat Dolls get nominated for a Grammy, I hate the Grammys.

I've hated the Grammys ever since I figured out that they were presenting awards based on entertainment value, rather than music. Which was about when I was 12 or 13.

"My Humps"? Seriously?

I am glad to see Gnarls Barkley get some love for "Crazy". Great song. And I hate pop.

I wonder if they'll give all the "group" members an award, considering there's only one of them that actually sings and the rest just sort of stand around acting sexy in the videous.

Kinda like that guy in the Bosstones that just dances -- except no suit and tie.

Even funnier, I now see that "Crazy B*tch" by Buckcherry was nominated in the Rock category.

Maybe the nominating committee doesn't read lyric sheets?

Just another sign that I'm getting old and un-hip. I only recognize about every third artist or so and virtually none of the songs.

I'm heading downstairs to listen to my Frank Sinatra records.

Wow.

What a said state of affairs for the music community.

Suddenly, I feel better about the state of Reds baseball.

Re: Grammy Nominations are out

Awards, Top 100 lists, etc. are absolutely meaningless.

I like what I like and I don't need to have it validated by beauty competitions.
