I can see her turning both directions. Although it took me a few minutes before I was able to see her turning counter-clockwise.
The caption next to the girl says most people would see it as counter-clockwise. What did you see texasdave? I'm left-handed...That's got to have some bearing on it. How much, I don't know...

That's pretty interesting. I instantly saw her going clockwise but I was able to see it counter-clockwise for a few seconds. I couldn't focus and the direction switch, but when I started reading the text to the left, she appeared to switch directions when viewed out the corner of my eye. Then I was able to keep it up for short periods.
I'm right-handed by the way. |

She switched directions while I was looking at her. It looked to me like the animation itself changed directions.

I am right-handed and I saw it clockwise each time I initially look at it. This is opposite of the way that I thought I should see it. The only way I can get it to change is to not look at it directly. Trying to get it to change by staring at it directly never did the trick for me.

I could switch her back and forth relatively easily. Started counterclockwise, shifted to clockwise and back. It seems like the perspective changes too. Counterclockwise it looks like you're viewing her from slightly above, clockwise it looks like you see her from slightly below.

AAARGGGGH. It started clockwise and I was convinced it wouldn't change. Now it's counter and I can't get it to switch back. What the heck! And now it's clockwise again... oh geez.
Mwahahaha. Now I can get her to switch by telling myself front/back/front/back about her spinning leg. I just switch it up and force my brain to change it's interpretation of the leg.

Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
