My thoughts two months ago. It would really make me happy to see the Cubs blow money for a bonafide stud like Zambrano on Ted Lilly and Jason Marquis. Add Zambrano to Arroyo, Harang and Bailey and we are lookin like the '90s Braves.

The Cubs have enough money to re-sign him.

Exactly, are they going to trip all over their World Series' dreams of the snowy spring and overlook Zambrano and his demands?

The Reds will use the Milton money and sign him for a 7 year $18 million contract. You heard it here first.

Re: Zambrano threatens to walk

The way they have been throwing money around, it surprises me that they haven't caved yet. Of course, they are the Cubs. Nothing they do should surprise me.

They have waited until he's 1 year away -- risky.

Re: Zambrano threatens to walk

Zambrano might be feeling a twitch in his arm and would like some insurance.

I think Zambrano has proven throughout his career that he's more than ready and able to walk any hitter he faces.

So the Reds will get him for 2.6 mil a year? That's sounds good, I feel better about the future.
