edit: somewhere in there should be "The Soft Bulletin" by the Flaming Lips and at least one Replacements album.....
I'm appalled at myself for leaving out anything by Yo La Tengo who is one of my favorite bands of all time. For the sake of argument I'll go with Electro Pura.

I think I'd go with "President Yo L Tengo" second.

Re: Your All-Time Top 10 Favorite Albums

I'm not going to list "Classic rock" ablums, I'll tell you that much now. I'm not a huge fan cause I hear the crap daily. Infact, at my job everyone's radio is BLASTING either classic rock or the oldies. It annoys me to no end cause these same people will turn MY radio station to thier own when they work by me just cause they feel like it.

One thing I can't stand is a lack of respect for another persons music or beliefs.

All that remains - The fall of ideas.
Coheed and Cambria - The second stage turbine blade
Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere
Pennywise - Land of the free?
Cursive - Happy Hollow
Cursive - Domestica
Guster - Ganging up on the sun
Interpol - Antics
Interpol - Turn on the bright lights
Rise Against - The sufferer and the witness.

And WOY and I saw Tom last summer out here and it was a really good show.
Remember when he threatened to name Hard Promises, $8.98 in protest of MCA wanting to raise the albums price?

I saw Petty in Charlotte on the Wildflowers tour (woy wasn't with me). I don't recall how long the show went on but towards the end, the house lights came up indicating the show was over. He just kept on playing. I kept thinking they were going to cut the sound system, but they didn't. I've only seen him once, so maybe it's something he does at all his shows, but I thought it was pretty cool.

BTW, anyone know where I can find a recording of Girl On LSD?

Cursive is the same way.

Happy Hollow strings together, with every song stopping on the note the next song starts on. It tells the story rather well.

Even the opening and closing "hymns for the heathens" sum up what the cd was about.

Schemeers.
Peachers.
Predators.
The "You"/Person.

Re: Your All-Time Top 10 Favorite Albums

One of my favorite bands that many of you probably haven't heard of is Chevelle. I love them! It seems like quite a few on here like Metallica, which is my favorite band. Chevelle is kind of hard like them, but not over the top. All their songs are very good, IMO. Their 4th album is due out in early April. Give them a try.
