Split squad game added Sunday

The Reds have added a split squad game for Sunday. Bronson Arroyo will start the 10 AM game and Homer Bailey will be starting the 1 PM game on Sunday.

It's not a split squad game, it's a ''B'' game played at the minor league complex to make sure to give everyone a chance to play especially before the minor leagues report.

Question: What is the difference between A & B games and split squad games. Sound pretty much the same to me. Are we just talking symantics or are is there a substantial difference?

A ''B'' game is free. A ''A' game is treated as a regular spring training game with a ticket admission,

So the main difference is the price of the ticket and location of the game?

yes. Also when a team has a split squad game those are counted as regular spring training games and have 2 different admissions. Minor league spring training games and ''B'' games are free at the minor league fields or complexs.
