The return of Slammin' Sammy Sosa

Sosa has made the Rangers team and will be in a major league uniform on opening day:

He's Texas' problem, any thing comes out about steriods or cheating with his name linked to it..

Well, Daniels will be "slammin' sammy" alright.

Here's a fun question for you.

Who will have better numbers at the end of 2007.

Sammy Sosa or Josh Hamilton?

Unfortunately most teams turn a blind eye to that sort of thing when players are putting fans in the seats. Thats why Bonds has such staying power with the Giants.

Re: The return of Slammin' Sammy Sosa

Can he pitch?

If not, the Rangers and Sammy will be irrelevent by June.

What kills me about this whole thing is that he talks to the press like he's got some well-deserved chip on his shoulder. I'd like to get behind this logic...

"Excuse me, Mr. Sosa, did you or did you not hit .221 in your last season in the major leagues? Yes? So you didn't really deserve more than the minor-league contract the Nationals offered you last year? Oh. Alright, alright - well, good luck and congrats on the strong spring training. Wait, and Sammy, one more thing...are you sure you aren't just pulling a Ricky Williams here? You know, the "money's all gone" kinda thing? Just wondering."

I wonder if Sammy is using his game bats or his special "BP" bats during ST.

Re: The return of Slammin' Sammy Sosa

Either way I don't think it matters, without the juice "Slimmin Sammy" should revert back to his weak White Sox numbers or repeat his sorry Orioles performance when he's actually facing major league pitching.
