Re: 4/6/07: Reds vs Pirates

Nice to see 6 innings of no-hit ball from Belisle and the 'pen to close it out. Especially since I was suffering in that cold wind!

Best Reds pitching performance I have seen live in GABP. Bar none.

Haha...I'm just a bad motha trucka'. Ha, just kidding! You'd be surprised of how many people who work for a particular team...aren't from that particular city. Just like me, several other employees of the Pirates are from other areas of the country. So, working in this industry, you get a lot of teasing and jokes about games like the one tonight. Most of the guys are real sports fans and understand that it's not likely that someone will root for a team just because they work for them. I mean, would they convert to being a Reds fan if they moved to Cincinnati and worked for the Reds organization? The same goes for me. My point is...most of it is all in fun.

I'd say the actual attendence was under 12K. I believe they announce PAID attendence.

Re: 4/6/07: Reds vs Pirates

I like Saarloos as the closer. He's proven that he's not much of a starting pitcher; however, given his stuff and his historical effectiveness early in his pitch count, I think he could be very effective at the back end of the pen.

After seeing Lohse and Belisle step it up I have a good feeling about this season. Playoffs here we come.

My money's still on Saarloos being the acquisition of the offseason. How much that says, I don't know.

I agree FCB, Saarloos could really make a difference in the season.

Yeah, and he apparently smoked some crack rocks before going on the air based on what he's talking about right now. Mad because Griffey's out of CF???? You're kidding me.
