Re: Homer watch

5.3 vs. Toledo - 90 pitches

5.0 vs. Norfolk - 83 pitches

Do you think they are limiting his pitches early in the season?

Re: Homer watch

They had him on a pitch count last year so it wouldn't surprise me. With the weather being as bad as it's been, probably a good thing.

Did he pick up the W in his second start?

Re: Homer watch

No . . . Kerschner allowed the game to be tied up in the 8th . . . Bats scored 6 in the 9th to win.

Re: Homer watch

In my opinion Homer is doing a very good job and if milton or any other starter goes down with an injury he will get a long and hard look.

Seems to me that Livingston or Dumatrait may get the next shot........

Although not a necessity, it's nice to have a lefty in the rotation. Homer will be up this year though.

Re: Homer watch

I'd give Phil or Bobby a shot before Homer. I want to see Homer as much as anyone else, but I think he needs to prove himself in Louisville first (2 starts aren't enough). Give him 7-10 starts and then see where he's at.

Bailey won't touch Cincy to at least after June 1st. They aren't going to start his clock any sooner than they have to.

Re: Homer watch

The 6 walks should concern some people, but everyone around him still says he needs to learn how to "pitch." I think it'll be June. . .at the earliest before he's called up. So far so good.

Yep.

The last thing they want is for Homer to qualitfy as a 'super two'.
