I miss Wily Mo. I loved the big guy. I wouldnt take the trade back with how Arroyo has performed, but I still root for the guy.

Judging by what Red Sox fans are saying on their boards, I'm sure they would reverse the trade in a heartbeat.

He always struck out too much, and that was the reason we made the trade.

Adam Dunn strikes out too much, but we aint dealing him yet.

WMP is my favorite player of all time, but he is awful at:

Hitting breaking balls

Fielding

Anything not involved in hitting LH pitchers.

That is not true. The guy has a very strong arm. He also plays a decent CF. Its the corners where the ball tails away from him that gets him messed up.

I also bet we trade Adam Dunn before his contract is up. Not because of his strikeouts really though, but because we will want to get something in return when he gets a huge contract that we shouldn't pay him.

Red Sox fans have seen him play enough that they don't want him on their team.

I'm a Red Sox fan, and I want him on the team. Fans are fickle and reactionary, a week ago, everyone wanted to get rid of Crisp and have Pena start. He misplays a few balls, and they want to get rid of him. He hits a slam, and I guarantee all the focus from Sox fans will be on someone else.

Actually I believe his splits vs RHP were better than vs LHP last year.

Yeah, that appears to be contagious in Boston, as soon as they get you there, you lose the ability to hit LHP.
