your not factoring in just putting the ball in play makes things happen. If you strike out lets say 100 times as the lead-off hitter and you reduce that to 60 by putting the ball in play, I'd bet you will get a couple more hits, reach on a couple of fielding errors and throwing errors. It's a lead-off hitters job to get on base anyway he can. He should lead the team in OBP.

Not sold yet but being able to get a QS when you're not throwing well is a great sign. That's what separates the good ones from the mediocre.
