Happy Birthday to The Big Dog!
A happy birthday to one of the best clutch hitter the Reds have ever had,Tony Perez. He turns 65 today. He seemed to always do well on his birthday. Below is one of those days. I think I remember listening to this game all those many years ago.
1972 Happy birthday‚ Tony. On his 30th birthday‚ Tony Perez knocks in all the 6 of the Reds' runs as they sweep a pair from the Cardinals‚ winning 4-3 and 2-0. The nitecap is a stellar 3-hit‚ 12 strikeout shutout by pitcher Tom Hall. This was courtesy of Baseballlibrary.com.
