Dragons 4-1. Turner hit a solo HR and is 3-4. Valaika homers for the 2nd time. Back to back HR's for the Dragons.

He hit real well in college at a big school. There were questions about whether he would ever hit for a high average, but he was said to have very good plate discipline and that is showing. He was said to have very good power, especially for a centerfielder and that is also showing.
Yesterday Stubbs hit a Hr that hit this scoreboard

Janish is said to have very good above average defense. His footwork is supposed to be great as is his arm.

Good fastball. 95 MPH at times. Secondary stuff is lacking.

I also believe he is related to Craig Ehlo.

I wish Travis Webb lived in Charlotte. Then, if he pitched a great game or something, the local headline could read: Charlotte's Webb spins shutout.

I know, I know...that was bad.

Beast.

He won't be in Dayton for long.

What the story on Jose A. Rojas. According to the Dayton website he has 27 SO in 16 inning but an era over 6? Did he just have one bad outing? How fast does he throw? If it's not a misprint, those SO #'s are incredible.

Dayton won 5-1. Geronimo fired two scoreless innings with one hit allowed and two strikeouts. He still hasn't allowed a run this year in 17.1 innings.

Re: 5/15/07 Minors Updates

Geronimo is about as dominant as you can be. Sure it was just the DSL, but look at what he did there the past two seasons, then this year he has started off great as well.

Three bad outings (out of 13) . . .

Apr 29 @BEL 1.1IP 4H 3ER 0BB 3K (save)
May 04 KCC 0.1IP 3H 2ER 2BB 1K
May 11 PEO 0.2IP 5H 4ER 1BB 0K (loss)

That's 2.1IP 12H 9ER 3BB 4K (34.75 ERA/6.44 WHIP) and (1.72 K/9) for those three games.

It's 10.2IP 5H 2ER 6BB 16K (1.69 ERA/1.03 WHIP) and (1.50 K/9) in his other ten games (with 4 saves).

Maybe, he needs to keep from focusing on the Ks.
