Massive performance by Weathers. Can't throw enough superlatives at him for what he did tonight.

You're saying the same thing. No confidence at all in the rest of the staff tonight or tomorrow.

Re: 5/15/07 Reds vs. Padres

It's not too often you see a 12 inning game where the starting pitcher goes nine innings and one reliever pitches all three innings in extra frames. That type of pitching performance resembles the game in the year 1907 moreso than the game in 2007.

Nevertheless, great outing by Harang, great relief outing by Weathers, and Griffey's bat came through once again tonight.

Hopefully Arroyo comes to the park ready to pitch tomorrow, because he might have to darn near match Harang's performance if we're going to beat Peavy.

Weathers won't be available to pitch for like a week now.

How many more homers does Griffey need to be 8th on the all time list?

He really stepped up tonight for a bullpen that has totally blown most of the year.

That sounds about right. Reds should be up for another save situation right about then.

They probably won't need him for a week now. It'll be a while before the next save situation I assume.

I had to quote Lou Brown. It seemed appropriate. Peavy will be a tough one to crack.
