Keep Hatte too.Send down Moeller, and let Hatte be the lefty off the bench.
Either way I'd like to get Votto up here.

June is a new month. Let's see if he repeats that proformance.
July is when you trade players because you are out ot the race. The Reds have qualified for that part of the quinella, now they just have to wait for the calandar to turn the pages. Rem |

I said trade Hat first because he's the left handed 1st baseman, if Votto came up he'd be out of that job.

Re: Votto Hitting Over .400 For May
3-5 tonight with 2 RBIs.
.435 for the month, with 37 hits! .505 OBP, 1.152 OPS, 14 RBIs and 5 homers, again, all just in May. .512 over his last 10 games! .319 W/RISP on the season! If this kid keeps hitting like this then the reds have to trade Hatti,or Conine to get him up here.

Re: Votto Hitting Over .400 For May
He's someone that really adjusts well I think. Look how poorly he did in the FSL. Came right back the next year. He could be a machine for the Reds. He's basically Hatteberg (from the beginning of last year) with a lot more power. Very similar approaches, and will K a bit more. But a very good tradeoff with power.

Re: Votto Hitting Over .400 For May
Votto's big month last year was June. He hit well in May in 2006, but not this well.
Whoever the manager is next year, better know about Votto's 'problems' in April .

Re: Votto Hitting Over .400 For May
He is ready! I don't see how anyone can debate that. The numbers say that he is ready, his history says that he is ready, he has been in the minors for a long time and we are going no where.

Behold the power of BABIP. Votto wsa really really unlucky in April and his May stats are bearing it out.

Re: Votto Hitting Over .400 For May
I'd trade him for some pitching. I know...I know, but the REDS best bats are all lefties (Dunn, JR and Hamilton). Of course Dunn and JR might not be here in 2 months and I don't think Dunn will be back next year....So Maybe keep him.
BUT What do you think the REDS would get in return for Votto?
