Re: 5/30/07 Minor League Updates

Wow...I can't wait until Hamilton rejoins us back in Cincinnati...I mean come on last night and so far tonight he is a combined 3-6 with 3 homeruns...not to just mention his offense but I can't wait to have his defense back either even though Hopper has done a pretty good job so far. But all I have to say is Josh Hamilton can't come back soon enough and I hope the Reds can keep the win streak rolling tonight.

Is that Eric Owens, a former Reds farmhand, in LF for Charlotte?

Re: 5/30/07 Minor League Updates

Owens has reached base in 34 consecutive games.

Surprised the Sox haven't called him up with guys like Mack....(you get the point), GrindErstad, Terrero, and Ozuna (until he got hurt) seeing PT in the OF.

Eric Owens is a manager or hitting instructor for another team in the Midwest League, I believe.

Chris Valaika picked up a 4th hit and finished 4-for-5 with four singles. Juan Francisco went 2-for-3 with a HR (#11), a single, two walks, and 4 RBI. Nice to see him drawing some walks. Stubbs was 0-for-2 with three walks. Rafael Gonzalez: 7 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 1 BB, 6 K.

Jay Bruce went 1-for-4 with a solo HR (#10) in Sarasota's 5-3 loss.

Hamilton went 2-for-5 with two homers. Dickerson is 2-for-3 with a HR, single, and two walks. Votto is 1-for-4 with a single and two walks.
