Re: 6/7/07 - Reds vs. Cardinals Game Thread

Krivsky just needs to sac up and take Castro away from Jerry because this is what you get if you don't. How can your defensive replacement/last guy off the bench be batting second in a non-spring training game?

The Reds deserve what they get. Until they are willing to compete salary wise with other teams for managers.

2-3 last night. Play the hot hand I guess. I honestly didn't think I'd ever see a lineup with Castro in the top 6. Usually the pitcher doesn't get to take a break after the 1st batter.

Couldn't we please call Janish up and give him a chance instead of Castro?

I know it might be crazy, but I can't find fault with the idea. Why not run the kids out there at LEAST in place of the worthless vets like Juan Castro.

Re: 6/7/07 - Reds vs. Cardinals Game Thread

Catchers bat 8th.

However, yesterday, for the first time in a coon's age, Narron moves the catcher, Ross, to 7th because Castro is so bad and was hitting a buck fifty on the year that he had to put him as low as possible, ie 8th.

Castro gets two hits and now Narron puts him second.

Riiiiiiiight.

Sorry Puffy but I have to say this again.

The problem with having Juan Castro on the roster is the manager thinks he has to actually play him. And the Reds manager seems to think he's a 2 hitter to boot. I just vomited a little in my mouth.

Speaking of blowing chunks. I wasn't in the game thread last night but did anyone hear Chris Welsh say that he thinks that Castro wasn't playing enough early in the season?

Does Welsh actually watch the games?

Re: 6/7/07 - Reds vs. Cardinals Game Thread

I clicked my heels three times and said "there's no place like home, there's no place like home" and yet when I open my eyes I see that Castro is still in the #2 slot.

What a letdown

Re: 6/7/07 - Reds vs. Cardinals Game Thread

Absolutely unacceptable.

I actually hate Jerry Narron now. I like the guy for a while, don't know why, but I did. I wasn't real fond of his managerial style, but I liked him.

I want him gone, now. Castro batting 2nd? How can a MAJOR LEAGUE MANAGER be allowed to bat JUAN FREAKING CASTRO second. I am so pissed off right now about this. I know it's silly, but it's really just the straw.....
