A Non-Reds fans view of Adam Dunn....it says it all

http://ontheshow.blogspot.com/2007/0...ad-choice.html

I think this is how the non-emotional Reds fans view him too.

I don't know about that. I was listening to Tim Lewis (the Mad Dog) this morning on my way to work and he had on another radio show host (Larry Brown) from Los Angeles. Brown said that Dunn is definitely coveted by teams like the Dodgers, Padres and Angels (to a lesser extent). He said they would love to have a left-handed power bat and Dunn fills that role. He, like several Reds fans have, pointed out the fact that 40 HR, 100 RBI, 100 walks and 100 RS don't just grow on trees. So basically, he had the opposite view of the blogger you linked.

My guess is that non-emotional Reds fans range much the same as emotional Reds fans. Some like the production Dunn brings, others belittle him for his faults.

Buster Olney had a piece on his blog today that discussed how hard it would be to move him and how a B level prospect is all that could be reasonably expected for him. He's right.

That article is among the most incoherent garbage I've ever seen on the Internet.

Pokey do you just google Adam Dunn Hate and look for the worse possible articles for you to try and prove a point. Did Adam Dunn refuse to give you an autograph? Is that why you hate him so much. Just let it out. Show your true feelings.

A dude that creates over 200 runs every year has plenty of value.

Well, non-emotional is one way to describe them, I just call them stupid.

Has anyone done any research like the article states about Dunn hitting around the average numbers OPS-wise for his position?

The guy is entitled to his opinion... I agree that Dunn's leather is pretty damn bad, but offensively, Dunn is a damn good power hitter.

Then if that's all you can get him for, that's what you have to deal him for. I don't see WK picking up that option.

If you read MORE THAN THAT ONE ARTICLE.......you'd realize that alot of teams are after Adam Dunn. Doesn't mean they'll overspend, but they still have to be competitive in their offer.
