Stanton with Strained left hamstring

Per the Reds Media Director Rob Butcher Stanton left the game with strained left hamstring. He will be reevaulated tommorw. Maybe Narron shouldn't of left him hit.

He runs exceptionally well for a fat man.

Re: Stanton with Strained left hamstring

Yeah most Reds fans probably think Stanton to the DL would be a blessing (I did at first), but he's actually been pretty solid lately. In the last month he has a 2.08 ERA in 13 IP despite a .375 BABIP. Although I still think he allows way too many inherited runners to score, at least he's starting to earn some of his paycheck Krivsky signed him to.

I don't think it was dumb. The home run by Ross gave them a decent lead and the Rangers had a lefty (Catalanotto) leading off the next inning. Stanton was probably only going to face that one hitter. If Ross hadn't hit that home run, Stanton probably wouldn't have hit. I thought it made perfect sense.

As Jimbo said it was a good move, it just didn't work out right. Hopefully it's nothing serious as he has turned it around as of late.
