Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
I was once in a knife fight, but didn't have a knife. It wasn't much of a fight. Or much fun for that matter.

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
I'm about to plop down about $41000 tomorrow for a new van. That is if the financing goes through the way it should. They're so picky about self employed people.
Also, I once bood Hank Aaron. Of course I was only 5 and he was wearing the uniform of the other team, which made him the enemy. My dad then told me not to boo him because he was good. I didn't really understand until years later. |

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
In 1963 I won a 'Mystery Voice Contest' on radio station WWL in New Orleans. I knew the answer because the voice was that of former Red Johnny Temple who played for the Colt 45's at that time. My brother and I were flown to Houston for a four-day all-expenses-paid visit which included 3 baseball games, meet players and broadcasters, dinners. Stuff like that.

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
It was the summer before eighth grade. I was probably thinking about how dorky I was going to look answering nerd questions on TV in my bright orange O.P. t-shirt.

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
I funded my entire guitar string budget my senior year in high school asking for change and claiming it was for unicef.
I also pointed a fake gun at my science teacher in middle school. Let me tell you, as an April fool's joke, that does NOT go over well.

Jeff Duncan is my cousin.
He had a decent stint with the Mets a couple years ago, but it appears his big league dreams are done. |

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
General "Colonel Retired now" Janis Karpinski once offered to give me a ride as I was walking from the Military Exchange to my tent in 100 degree plus weather in Iraq. I politely thanked her for the offer and finsihed my walk.

I once met Edmund Hillary - the first guy to climb Mt. Everest. (along with his sherpa).
My blood pressure at age 8 was 250/220

Re: RedZone Didja Knows...
I am currently getting my family tree traced.
There is a chance I might be related to Col. Sanders. We have found ancestors in Ohio as early as 1802 (and seem to literally be related to every person living in Ohio), and in the States as early as 1769 - with very good chances of going even earlier. And that is just from one of my grandpa's side. |
