Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Votto doubles and is only a triple shy of the cycle.

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Joey Votto is an impressive hitter , both the homer and double were hit to leftfield with power, they were both pitches away the double in the 8th just missed going out. He also has a single , and stole 3rd earlier in the game. Joey is now hitting over .320...

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Today was Bill Bray's first effort at back to back games , last night he worked a perfect inning with a strikeout, today 1 innings a walk and 3 strikeouts. In fact he has now worked 3 times in the last 4 day , 3 innings 0 hits , 1walk, 5 strikeouts. His velocity looked good but unfortunately they didn't show a gun . He looked as if he was throwning free and easy , threw a few breaking balls.
Gardner just guessing I'd say was probably throwing in high 80's his location was bad in the 1st inning after that he looked okay. |

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Dragons down 5-0 now. Phipps, Heisey, Rojo, and Cozart have added singles to no avail.

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Mike Stanton pitched a rehab inning for Dayton. 1 IP 1 H 1 R 1 HR 1 K. (I think I'll use that line for my Pick-5 drawing tomorrow. =)

Re: 4th of July Minor League Updates
Valiquette at Billings pitched 4.2 innings of one hit, no walk ball with 3Ks. His ERA is 1.20. Very young prospect who is starting to show results.
