BP is such a free swinger, I don't think he requires as much "protection".
As for speed, Encarnación is plenty fast if given the chance.

Before this season, I would have agreed with you. But this year, Phillips has been head and shoulders better than EE. EE may get on base a bit more, but Phillips power numbers indicate I want him AB more than EE.

Gonzalez is simply better than Ross this year. It's no comparison.

The better hitters should get more AB's.

Facing Micha Owings from The Tulane University tonight.

Just noting.

It's kind of fun to listen to Welsh go off on Lohse anytime he pitches. I have to believe Chris is not a fan.

Re: 7/6/07 Reds vs Diamondbacks

I just figured out why our bullpen sucks - they are shellshocked from the bombs Dunn, Griffey and Hamilton keep dropping on them earlier in the game.

If Dunn is not a run producer, are those 2 "non-runs" for the Redlegs??

Hop seems to have fallen out of favor with the new regime.

...or maybe he was just the flavor of the month?

No doubt--I'd definitely play him over Dunn.

Marty should be fired for making sub-70 IQ comments like that. What a fool.

Phillips doesn't get on base, he goes around the bases.
