Reds vs. Diamondbacks, 7-7-07
Here's todays lineup:
REDS Hamilton, cf Freel, 3b Griffey Jr., rf Phillips, 2b Dunn, lf Hatteberg, 1b Valentin, c Gonzalez, ss Bailey, rhp I'm not liking this one too much. I hate that Valetin is catching and that Edwin is sitting out. Also I want Dunn in the clean up spot at all times. Brandon has power but I'd still rather Dunn be there.

I don't think theres room for Freel on the team any longer.He seems to be replacing a better player whenever he starts.
 Of course he hasn't started at catcher yet.........

The Reds picked up a series win tonight, which is only the 8th series win on the year. This is also the first time we've won back to back series since we opened the season by winning 2 of 3 against the Cubs and Pirates.
It's been refreshing to gain some wins here before the break, but to give an idea of how the year's gone, a win tomorrow would give us our first series sweep of the season. In fact, tomorrow's game is only the 3rd series finale all year where the Reds have had a chance to sweep. The first two chances were against the Pirates in the first homestand of the year and @ Houston in late May. |
