Opps.

Tried to edit previous post and ended up with a double post.

Move along.

Reds catcher David Ross said he hopes to make a rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Louisville this weekend before returning to the Reds in time for the team's doubleheader in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, the first day he is eligible to come off the disabled list.

"I've been doing everything - running, hitting, throwing," Ross said before Wednesday's game. "I'm scheduled to come off the disabled list the first day, just as long as everything goes well. I want to try to go to Louisville for the weekend, that's my goal. I've got to talk to (general manager) Wayne (Krivsky) and see what he says."

Re: Ross to the DL

Thats just stupid. Why not wait until the 1st at least then you don't have to send anyone down or anything and you can give him a few extra days. The season's done, he should honestly take off the rest of the season, its a head injury, someone needs to use theirs.

But, we're still in the race, aren't we?

Fine. Keep him in L'ville until the rosters expand.
