Fernando Cabrera?

reports out of Cleveland are saying that the Tribe has told Cabrera that he will be DFA'd to make room for Aaron Fultz. He is still only 25 and is the type of arm that Wayne should be going after. Cabrera hasnt been the same since a streak of blown saves last year. Perhaps, a Phillips-esque change of scenery would do wonders for him. Go get him Wayne

Re: Fernando Cabrera?

He'll have to pass through waivers to be traded. Every AL team will have a chance to claim before us, and perhaps Pittsburgh.

Re: Fernando Cabrera?

Well hes waived. We better put in for him. Weve seen enough dreck. Young and potential beats old and shot every day of the week.

D'oh. I thought it went in order of worst record in MLB to best, regardless of what league the team is in?

The Orioles already plucked Jeremy Guthrie from the Indians and turned him into a credible American League starter. Today, they signed another former Indian in 25 year-old reliever Fernando Cabrera. Can Leo Mazzone mold this electric arm into the team's future closer?

There's a Guthrie connection here, as the two hurlers were teammates for the Buffalo Bisons. Dave Trembley saw them up close and personal as manager of the Ottawa Lynx.
