Rosales would certainly make an interesting option at 3B.

Todd pitched 2 innings of hitless ball to get the win and got his 2nd hit in 3 abs tonight.

They wheeled a 3x4 steel safe into the clubhouse Sunday morning to store the players' valuables. It took four guys to lift it off a dolly and onto a table.

Said pitcher Kent Mercker: "What's that, Junior Griffey's wallet?"

When he gets called back up he should pinch hit instead of Ellison

Supposedly the best curveball in the Oakland system, but he's already 24.

Stubbs starts next season in AA in all likelihood, right?

Billings is winning 7-1 in the 5th. Frazier isn't playing tonight. Justin Reed is 1-for-2 with a double and a walk. Brandon Waring (playing SS tonight) is 1-for-3 with his 11th homerun.

Jukich's Last 10 Games
7-1, 2.19 ERA, 61.2 IP, 36 H, 15 ER, 20 BB, 60 SO

Not too bad. I would think that he's pitched his way into the 10-20 range for the organizational prospect rankings.

It might be a good idea for him since the FSL is a pitcher's league (although Bruce destroyed it).

Re: 8/22/07 Minor League updates

Amazing how Lecure's prospectdom has been given a boost the last couple of starts while Fisher's has crashed. I mean, Fisher simply imploded into horribleness.

Lecure on the other hand is only 23 and may have struggled abit adapting to the AA level on limited innings. He needs to hone his control, but unlike Fisher, seems to be getting stronger and has the pitches if he gets major league quality command.

I am surprised Rosales walk total doesn't get more attention. 62 for the year. Very impressive. If he hadn't been sidelined essentially with a season destroying injury last year, he would be even farther ahead.
