Coffey sent back down...
Today the Reds recalled from Class AAA Louisville RHP Matt Belisle and optioned to Louisville RHP Todd Coffey.

I'm always surprised by fan reaction to the FO micromanaging it's roster.... Sports talk radio was going nuts this week. As if Cueto's schedule in AA should be blown up so he could sit in the bullpen for a few days in case the reds needed a 5th inning can of water. Generally WAY to much is made of the AAAA shuttle and way too little thought is given to context.

Once they send a guy back down, what is the rule on how long they have to wait before they can call him up again?
For some reason, I was thinking it was ten days?? Does it matter if Louisville's season ends? In any event, I am sure we will see Coffey in September. I really hope that he can find whatever it is he lost from last year(movement on his pitches??). I had hopes that he could be a benefit in the bullpen....
