To be fair to WK, when he sold Cody, he said he didn't want to do it, it was just a numbers crunch. He even predicted that Ross would do well in Fla.
He was smart enough to pick him up from the Dodgers in the first place. He just couldn't find room on the roster at that point, and he was out of options.

I think he also did it to be fair to him. I wanted to keep Ross, but it realistically wasn't plausible with the current team.
