"Magical Bat" stands on end after making contact with ball
Check out this You Tube video from a Mets/Braves game last week. The "magical bat" stands up vertically next to the third-base line after the batter hits the ball in play with it.

Pretty cool. Reminds me of the Twilight Zone episode where a flipped quarter ends standing up.

Me too. It just looks very unnatural. The bat takes a very odd bounce off the handle and then seems to stick in that vertical position instantly, with very little wobble.
I just don't see the physics of where the rotational momentum was absorbed/transfered.

That second clip captures it better. It took a little hop before coming to a stand still.

I'm going to sound silly now, but if you stop the video and look at the area around the bat, is there a faint triangular smudge like it's been brushed?
