Baseball: So long for another season...

Just realized I have seen the last game of the year, and all I can do now is look forward to pitchers and catchers reporting.

Thanks to all the players, coaches and staff for another year of baseball. And thank you Redzone... as always its been fun (and frustrating). I look forward to being carried along through another off-season that is always too long.

Best wishes to everyone, here's to many more interesting discussions.

The frustrating thing is I used to be able to get my baseball fix by watching College Baseball games in early February. From what I understand the NCAA has passed a new rule where teams cannot start there season now till late February.

Its gonna be a lllloonng off season!!!

The AFL West looks tough this year. Who knew Surprise would be so good.

Any other goobs like me, who save at least one Reds game on the DVR? You know, for one of those "Break In Case Of Emergency" cold winter nights.

This year I have my recently purchased !975 World Series DVD set to get me through.

I think I shared this before, but my brother-in-law audiotaped a Cardinals game some years ago. At Christmas he was driving with my wife's other brother and sister-in-law and slipped the tape into the car's player. After about 15 minutes finally, our sister-in-law says, "What are the Cardinals doing playing at Christmas?".

I received those last x-mas and will be putting them to good use this holiday. But I like your idea about the DVR. If only I had known a month ago :

Is there a bittorrent site for Reds games?

MLB.com used to keep audio archives of the past two years of every game available through their site. Dunno if they still do.

Re: Baseball: So long for another season...

you can watch any game played this year on MLB.com even if you aren't a subscriber. so what was the best game of the year? i want to watch that one today. I'm a little down.

ugh. i got this wrong. only the last 5 games are available for free.

That does include the 13K game Harang tossed near the end of the season though.

$5 gets you the last two seasons worth of games though.
