I actually see him as more of a Candy Sierra clone myself.

Re: Pirates claim Dumatrait

Do you think he will equal the performance of Mel Behney?

No one can perform that well! Sets your sights on the more realistic goal of Keith Brown.

Re: Pirates claim Dumatrait

Great riposte

Do you mean Keith Brown or Scott Brown?

Do you think Dumatrait should hire Keefe Cato or Sheldon Burnside as his pitching coach?
And what about the role of Dumatriat as a second inning set up man to lead to the strong third inning work of Bill Kelso

Who did we trade to acquire dumatrait? So long phil, nice outing vs. the brewers late in the season.

He was Boston's #1 pick. Bowden got him for Scott Williamson in 2003...

I mean Keith Brown, who pitched 25 brilliant games for the Reds between 1988 and 1992.

I believe that the best pitching coach for Dumatrait would be Tony Menendez, or Troy Afenir (If Dave Duncan can be a pitching coach, then so can Afenir).

Re: Pirates claim Dumatrait

It was very lugubrious that you did not comment on the pheenopm Scottie Brown, however Tony Menendez with a lifetime record of 1-0 would serve as a great mentor as would Jim Dickson, Curt Lyons and Steve Cooke other legendary undefeated Red hurlers.
