Matt Clement?
I'd hoped the Reds might go after Clement but this article shows the Padres have a pretty good shot at him.
http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?...=.jsp&c_id=mlb Makes sense for Clement since he'd pitch for a year in a pitcher's dream park. What better place to re-establish yourself if you're Clement and looking to take a 1 year deal to re-leverage yourself? Still, if I was the Reds I'd be pitching him aggressively, too. I like risks when the reward side is high. That's why I hope the Reds pursue Wood, too. |

Re: Matt Clement?
Please no. His numbers never matched his hype. I've been saying that since early on. He would get killed in GABP with his lack of control.

Cedric this is not meant to come across as a dispute on number> Please understand that. I am just one of those guys that wonder if a player can adapt to there home park or change and become wiser as they get older. This in fact is not even saying yes to Matt Clement . But do pitchers never change or is just an easy blanket statement to say7 the numbers show they will do this and that ?

Re: Matt Clement?
Coming off a serious injury I'd bet the last place he wants to pitch is a hitter friendly place like ours.

Re: Matt Clement?
At one time I wanted the Reds to go hard after Matt Clement.
Maybe gettiing nailed by a come back linedrive put a serious dent in his progression. Maybe he is still worth taking a flyer type chance on.

Heck even Eric Milton while here had a better ERA at GABP then he did during his away games.
