Redszone Community Prospect Vote #24

Vote for the player who you think is the Reds #24 prospect (the best prospect who is not yet on the list). We will go with this as far as you guys want to take it.

I will post a new list every 2 days with 10-15 options to vote on.

If you feel like making an argument on why a guy should be voted here, feel free to vote and state why you voted for that player.

If there is someone that is not currently listed as an option to vote on, vote for 'other' then just state who you want to vote for in the thread.

If there is anyone you would like to see as an option on the next poll, just say so and if they garner enough support, they will be placed on the next poll. Guys with the lowest amount of votes will usually be removed for the next few guys who were talked about in the previous thread.

Player(s) who recieved 0 votes last round and will go back into rotation - Sean Henry and Juan Rafael.

Back onto the poll: Brett Bartles, Scott Carroll, Jose Castro, Tzu-Kai Chui, Zach Cozart, Rafael Gonzalez, Chris Heisey, Paul Janish, Ramon Ramirez, Jordan Smith and Phil Valiquette.

Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #24

A word for Justin Reed. Many of the remaining candidates are older prospects, Reed just turned 20. Great athlete, had a .799 OPS at the two rookie league levels this year. Still raw but tremendous upside.

Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #24

I voted Turner again based on his success on the field. He was in Doug's top 20 at the end of the season and MILB had him climbing the ladder in their 2007 review of the Reds minor league system. http://web.minorleaguebaseball.com/n...milb&fext=.jsp

Are the results intentionally not public?

Crap. No, I guess I forgot to click the make votes public box, although I thought I did.

Personally I voted for Justin Turner.

Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #24

For those voting for Chris Dickerson, the Reds' acquisition of Jeff Fiorentino today makes me wonder about the team's view of Chris. Dickerson's issue is that he strikes out more than one in three at bats.

No problem. I'm going with Richie Gardner because he is the best SP prospect left...

Re: Redszone Community Prospect Vote #24

Gardner has my vote. He was having a real nice season pitching at 3 different levels in his first full season back, up until June. I think he was injured in June as he only made 2 starts. After that he struggled mightily. There's enough there to warrant a top 25 vote for him.

Upside equals Evan Hildenbrandt or Scott Carroll; I'm slightly partial to Hildenbrandt.

Personally, I think Krivsky is in cahoots with Boss and GIK.

Boss and GIK will let Krivsky know when to pull the trigger on the Bedard trade to ensure RedsZone doesn't experience a complete meltdown.

Maybe claiming Fiorentino was Boss and GIK letting Krivsky crawl before he walks or runs.
