Beagle is Numero Uno!
I'm surprised no one posted this - the Best of Show in the dog show up in New York was a Beagle for the first time. And a beautiful dog it was:

Re: Beagle is Numero Uno!
We watched the show, and there was no doubt that Uno was going to win. Great dog.

My b-dog "Cooper" better not hear about this, or there'll be no living with him...

That picture is on my desk at work.
Look at his little feet HALF in the cup. I mean, for crying out loud.

Re: Beagle is Numero Uno!
I'm not a big dog person at all but I think Uno is totally adorable! Good for him and his owner to win Best in Show this weekend. That's a really great accomplishment for them!

Re: Beagle is Numero Uno!
One of my favorite dogs, growing up, was a Beagle-Terrier mix. She was just a fabulous dog, and I remember her three litters of puppies with great fondness.
We currently have a German Shepherd-American Bulldog mix who is almost the perfect family dog, but she's getting along in years and really slowing down. The kids have been clamoring for another dog and my 7-year old, who would be the main care-giver for the new dog, is specifically asking for a Beagle. I really love the breed and about the only negative I can find is their tendency to be vocal. There is a Beagle rescue chapter near our house that my 17-year old has discovered, so it looks like it may be inevitable. (Because Dad is really a softie) I guess it's the year of the Beagle. That Uno is a beauty! We'd love to have a classic like him!
