Bats win the ST opener...courtesy of MiLB.com

The Louisville Bats opened their spring schedule with a 4-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians in Bradenton, FL. Chris Michalak earned the win while Brock Till picked up the save.
Logan Ondrusek started for the Bats and allowed no runs and one hit in two innings of work. Michalak, a member of the Bats in 2003 and 2006, struck out two and allowed one earned run on three hits in two innings pitched. Justin Mallett and Ramon Ramirez each pitched two innings while holding the Tribe scoreless.

On offense, former RiverBat Kevin Barker went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBI. Luis Bolivar went 2-for-4 with a run scored. Justin Tordi and Shaun Cumberland both went 1-for-3.

The Bats play the Norfolk Tides in Sarasota at 1:00 on Friday.
