Skittles are, however, peanut-safe, and being such they were frequently present in the class I taught last semester that included the severely allergic (20 minute treatment or death) kid.

I must be really old. I remember when schools taught subjects such as math, science, reading, social studies and the like. Now they suspend you if they view your activity as being bad for your "wellness."

Given test scores, I believe the schools should be more concerned about passing along knowledge.

My handwriting style has always been exactly like my Dad's. So once I saw how he signed his name, it was quite easy for me to write excuse notes when my brother and I were in high school when it was time for a skip day.

If schools are so concerned about wellness then when are they going to close those cafeterias? While in school it was always hard for me to imagine that those old ladies preparing these foods were also cooking at home for their families.

Oh come on now that brown block of meat with with garnish of green goo on the side was a staple of all school children for an entire generation. Although I thought the chili and grilled cheese and the pizza were rather tasty.
