Opening Day Question

This will be my third opening day (i'm 17 years old), but my first that I will be responsible for driving to. I hhave a few questions regarding the parade and stuff.

What time does the parade start?

What roads are closed?

When will they open?

If i'm not going to the parade what is a good time to get to the game to get parking?

Re: Opening Day Question

I usually park at Newport On The Levee and cross the bridge that is right by US Bank Arena. If you don't mind walking a bit, it's cheap and safe. I've never had any trouble finding a space there. It also allows you to miss any parade related snarls; I parked there when I went to Opening Day two years ago and was glad I did.

Re: Opening Day Question

CinWeekly, print and online has a good Opening Day section this week with player stories, road closures, parade route, etc.

Direct to road closures:

Yeah I park in Newport at places like Frisch's, Buckheads, Joe's Crab Shack or something like that. Take the bus over, cost $1.
