Not Exactly a formiddable bench...

Javy Freel Hopper Castro Hatte/Votto but unless my math is wrong, isnt' there definitely gonna be a person from that list gone at some point, right? 12 pitchers + 8 starters only leaves room for 5 bench guys. Not to mention if Hatte is traded or Votto sent down, we're looking at a potential bench of the first 5 on that list

also, even if we were to trade Stanton for a Wes Helms type player, it's another big problem, granted you get bray back in the bullpen, but you add a bench player and have to cut someone else, if we could dump bako and Castro I think we could have a nice set up, along with stanton being trade for Helms of course.
Hopper Hatte Helms Javy Freel I'd have ZERO problem with that bench to start the season. |
