I lucked out...I'm going to Opening Day!
I lucked out big time. I have a connection in the reds ticket office. I bought a group purchase for July, 25 tickets, and it was his first sell on the job. He called me Thursday and said a group cancelled and they had 20 tickets going fast. I bought 4.
I'm taking my father who I have not attended a game with since I was 12, and my uncle (his brother). They don't spend a lot of time together. They are not mad at each other, but they aren't too "buddy-buddy." My dad has been battling melanoma, and my uncle has had a kidney transplant, they need to spend more time together. I'm taking my father-in-law as well. He lived in Covington for 50 years and has never had the chance to go to opening day. It should be pretty special. I'll be sure to get someone to take our picture together. We are in the lower section right by the foul pole in right field. We should get sprayed with balls all day, I'm taking my glove. Be sure to watch the game. I'll be the little dude in the reds hat and jersey...you can't miss me

I got lucky too and got a ticket from work on friday. Hopefully it doesn't rain during the game. They are calling for a high of 68 deg. and 50% chance of afternoon showers.
