40 Man Roster

The Reds 40 man Roster currently sits at 37.

Pitchers (19)
Affeldt
Arroyo
Baliey
Belisle
Bray
Burton
Coffey
Cordero
Coutlangus
Fogg
Gardner
Harang
Majewski
McBeth
Pelland
Ramirez
Thompson
Volquez
Weathers

Position Players (18)
Hanigan
Ross
Tatum
Valentin
Castro
Encarnacion
Gonzalez
Hatteberg
Janish
Keppinger
Phillips
Votto
Anderson
Dickerson
Dunn
Freel
Griffey
Hopper

The Reds have to add 5 players to this (Mercker, Lincoln, Cueto, Bako, Patterson), which put the roster at 42 meaning we have to waive two players.

Who do you waive?

Re: 40 Man Roster

Anderson and Tatum are my guesses, since some of the ones I would waive won't be.

Majewski if the choice is to get rid of him to clear minor league spots for others. Gardner and Anderson if the idea is to sneak them through waivers.

Yeah I think Anderson is almost I lock. I was having trouble coming up with the 2nd one, though.

Castro and Anderson

I know....I know!

Anderson and maybe Majewski..I don't see that happening but I honestly could see Castro being dropped.

Re: 40 Man Roster

Hanigan. If they didn't give him a real look now, they never will.

They don't seem real eager to give Chris Dickerson a real look as well. I believe this is his last option and he's never gonna be a major league starter.

Drew Anderson is a reasonable choice.

Castro is already spoken for.
Majewski....

Anderson and Hannigan. That's my guess.
