25 years ago (1983), the Reds split a doubleheader at Candlestick Park in San Francisco--losing the opener 3-0, and winning the nightcap 12-3.

In Game 1, Atlee Hammaker pitched a no-hitter through seven innings, and finished with a two-hit shutout with 10 K's to get the win for the Giants. I agree. That trade is often overlooked, but the Reds got a very solid member of the BRM's pitching rotation for a minimal cost.
